First Guests

Saturday was an open house for Jeremy's school, and he invited our family to come (both parents, his grandparents, and both sets of mine plus my sister).
It started at 9am so we were really thankful that everyone got up extra early to drive over from Fort Myers and Cape Coral. It was really cool to get to see the inside of his school. They're actually very strict there and only students and teachers can go in unless you have a visitors pass- so we were all so excited to get to see inside and how things work.

His school is really nice and clean (probably kept so nice because they don't allow any food or drinks except in the designated eating areas!). It has all new facilities and technology, now I understand why he's so thrilled to be going there. After everyone came over our house and we had a little house-warming party. Everyone contributed with a dish, and Jeremy and I had prepared dishes too. I made a really summery Shrimp Orzo, and Jeremy made a two-layer Coconut Cake. It was so good! Everyone is so supportive and happy that Jeremy is going to school. That evening my parents and my sister were our first over-night guests! We were so happy to have them. The next day they came to church with us and then we went to see Batman: The Dark Knight. What a nice weekend!
