Beth Moore, a name that rings very familiar to almost all Christian believers, especially women. I just got back from her live simulcast at a nearby church. Man she is just so great! God has used her so much in so many women's lives; I know for sure in mine. And the coolest thing is that she is so down to earth, caring, and humble!
"Maximum Impact" Was the theme of the message for this weekend conference. We focused on Luke 8:3,
"Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown."
She gave us 7 points to remember:
1)Treasure the Wonder- recapture the Word of God
Ask Him what it means so you can understand it
2)Protect your heart- the other hearers in Luke 8 heard the message but the enemy snatched the seed from their hearts
There's nothing more important to the enemy than to make sure we are ill-equipped to do God's will. Protect the Word of God (even with the faith as tiny as a mustard seed) so it will grow deep in your heart even to the marrow of your bones.
3)Expect the Test- We need to expect to be tested by trials so that when life's worries and circumstances come, we can stand firm.
4)Dig the Roots- Eph 3:7 They are as deep as we are convinced that God loves us
5)Stop the Choke- Anxiety chokes the word right out of us Phillip 4:6
Prayer is the answer to anxiety
6)Retain the Word- We should try to sow the seed in the morning (Isa 50:4-5) so that we can meditate on it day & night
7)Press forth to your 100-fold harvest- and persevere! We need to finish what we've started, don't give up half-way. The harvest will only come through perseverance.
Does anyone besides me feel like Beth is a close friend? Isn't that cool when you love someone in the Lord and you don't really know them- but you can still love them anyway?
